Policy Summary
• Nevada PTA does not sell or rent member information to anyone.
• PTA protects and secures any information it collects.
Information PTA Collects
When you apply for membership, PTA asks for basic information, such as your name, street address, and e-mail address. Your participation in PTA activities and member services also is tracked to help PTA better understand member interests and evaluate the effectiveness of our offerings.
Information Sharing
PTA does not sell or rent member information to telemarketers, mailing list brokers, or other companies. PTA may disclose member information when required to do so by law or when such action is necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process served on the national organization, to protect and defend the rights or property of PTA, or to protect the personal safety of users of the PTA website. PTA reserves the right to contact the appropriate authorities when visitors’ activities appear to be illegal or inconsistent with PTA policies.
Finally, PTA may sometimes share aggregate statistics and non-personal information with the media, government agencies, advertisers, and other third parties. For example, PTA may publish statistics on the number of members in Nevada, or the number of visitors to http://www.nevadapta.org/. These aggregate statistics do not identify member names or other personal information.
